Ex-Wildcat Woodson Surprised at Day One Snub

Giants' QB Andre Woodson thought he would be a second round pick, but is now finding himself fighting for a roster spot with David Carr, Anthony Wright and Jared Lorenzen.

Former Kentucky standout Andre Woodson was drafted by the Super Bowl champion New York Giants in the sixth round of this past April's draft, but according to this article in the New York Daily News, the one time Heisman hopeful thought he would be a second round pick.  Now he's just fighting to make the roster.

But perhaps Woodson's situation can teach us something...despite all the hype mock drafts may give a guy, it doesn't necessarily mean their names will get called early on draft day.

Write that down.
