Morgan Calls It Quits
Former Miami Hurricane standout and Carolina Panther LB Dan Morgan has decided to call it a career. The seven-year veteran was drafted 11th overall in the 2001 NFL Draft and spent his entire career with the Panthers, even making a Pro Bowl in 2004. He had signed a contract with the New Orleans Saints on March 11th of this year, but due to a plethora of chronic injuries, Morgan has elected to retire. In his seven year career, Morgan played in 59 regular season games...and missed 53 due to injury.
