Torry Holt to Chicago?

Now that the Bears have landed Pro Bowl QB Jay Cutler and seven time Pro Bowl tackle Orlando Pace, a Chicago Tribune writer thinks it's time to sign free agent WR Torry Holt.  At the moment, Cutler's number one target remains converted defensive back Devin Hester, so wide receiver is a need for the team, either through free agency or the draft.  For what it's worth, Holt and Pace have the same agent.

Not an hour after trading for QB Jay Cutler, the Chicago Bears added a new left tackle in former #1 overall draft pick of the St. Louis Rams, Orlando Pace.

Jay Cutler to Bears

NFL.com has issued a headline that the Bears and Broncos have agreed on a deal that will send QB Jay Cutler to Chicago.  Per ProFootballTalk.com, the Bears gave up two first round draft picks, including the 18th pick in this year's NFL draft, a third round pick, a fifth round pick and QB Kyle Orton.

In what can only be a surprise to him, after three years of disappointments on and off the field, the Chicago Bears have cut ties with former top five pick Cedric Benson.  The ex-Longhorn rushed for only 1593 yards in his career.
