The Atlanta Falcons acquired Pro Bowl TE Tony Gonzalez from the Kansas City Chiefs for a 2010 second round draft pick. Gonzalez, the 13th pick overall in 1997 by the Chiefs out of California, will join QB Matt Ryan, RB Michael Turner and receivers Roddy White, Michael Jenkins and Harry Douglas in what could be a very high powered offense in Atlanta this season.

The Atlanta Falcons and top pick Matt Ryan came to terms on a six year, $72 million contract with $34.75 million guaranteed. He is the second first round pick to sign, following number one overall pick Jake Long.
